| I was just using Windows Media Player for all my MP3's but was finding it harder and harder to find the music I wanted as my collection grew (now over 5000 tracks) until recently.... I am now using Media Monkey which I really like and a lot of Winamp plug-ins work with mediamonkey. Mediamonkey has brilliant auto tagging facilities and can level all your musics volume level so that all tracks blend well together. It also has a function called auto DJ which speaks for itself really and always keep a chosen number of tracks ahead in the current playlist. Thought This would be a good opportunity for digital music lovers to share their views on the different software they use for playing music! I look foward to hearing about what others are using and what they do and dont like about their music players. Last edited by Thomtom; March 1st, 2008 at 15:34. |

| I've been using Winamp since 1999 and haven't looked back. To be honest, I feel it's one of the most strongest and versatile music players available. I have tried others throughout the years, but I keep coming back to good 'old Winamp. =) |

| Mediamonkey claims to sync with Ipods but im not sure how well this would work in comparison, especially considering I have never used iTunes and proudly never owned an Ipod!! Although I would recommend giving it a go but make sure you have a back up of your music files else it could get messy haha! | Well ... I use Xrat Player 1.28. ... Only because it is a super lightweight player ... I mean tiny ... 386 Kb making it really snappy with no lag ... it also has an equalizer. [And I haven't gotten around to setting up a better software system until a couple weeks from now.] I like it for the tiny size and ease of use; however It is old ... it is anemic. XRat Player My speaker system however is state of the art. Portable and loud enough to get you kicked out of any Hotel in the World. Also great for lectures, conferences and presentations. | T-Rex | Winamp. Works with my Logitech G15 keyboard plugin named WVS (based of myLCD), has unicode playlist support, works with my remote, reads any audio type I throw at it. If I had to chose another audio player it would be foobar2k, but this one doesn't support my plugin for my G15, no bling bling. :( |
