| I saw Halutparilla's thread about creating virtual drives to mount CDs and DVDs. Since I only have one DVD drive I too am getting tired of the constant "put a new disk in" bit for gaming. http://forums.hardwarelogic.com/f18/...-dvd-1279.html At the time Daemon Tools seemed to be hands-down favorite. I see now that they still offer a free version. Is that still the recommendation of the experts on this forum? ![]() |

| HL's Technomancer | Thats what I use, and I have no problems with it. The ability to emulate key copyright protections really comes in handy for a few games I have with Nazi-grade protection and constant disc checking; saves on the wear of the drive and DVD itself. Just avoid Starforce games as usual, it tends to try and kill Daemon Tools, Alcohol 60-120%, Nero, and anything else of the like. |

| Silence..Or I kill you! | Yea, hands down probably the best, and the new updates DO have everything that Daemon does, plus with Alcohol 120% you can emulate as many drives as you want, but as mentioned, it is not a free program! |

| All you do is convert the cd to an .ISO using CloneCD (Google it) and then mount it using daemon tools. I have used it with my Starcraft CD and it's GREAT! no more LOUD cd spins in my case.
