video editing software I've recorded a lot of TV shows with my Hauppauge tv capture card. Now I'm looking to cut out the commercials, etc. and put them on DVD.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm using SageTV and tried using ShowAnalyzer, DirMon2 and SchoolHouse from Dragon Global. They're free but don't seem to do anything about removing commercials and the support is, well, limited at best. Heard Commercial Skip wasn't worthwhile.
Last night I found a freebe that gave me a 15 day trial and so far it looks good. Can't remember the name (VideoRedo?). I used SchoolHouse to actually find the commericals then this new program to cut them out of the recording.
I've been using DVDFlick to burn to DVD and it seems adequate. I'd love to be able to create an intro screen with a menu, just like a professional DVD, but (of course) looking for something free or reasonably priced.
The latest review I found on HL was Gig-O-Ram's Sony Vegas Movie Studio 6.0 from 12/07. Other sites have recommended PowerDirector and Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 11. Anyone have experience/advice/pointers? |
