Default Uh... whoops... HELP

I tried to get my partitions back into 1 (it was split into a 70GB Vista partition and 80GB XP partition). Well, I used Paragon Partition Manager... It told me it'd take an hour for it to delete the XP partition and extend the Vista partition. So I cut it short about 9 min in...

Now it's not starting... I'm really regretting doing that... What do I do... :(

Hmmm, I've never used Paragon, but Partition magic has you create backup discs so you can recover from any disasters.....i suppose you didn't back things up?

Throw the HD into a linux rig, or try a Knoppix Live-CD, and try to recover any valuable files...and format and reinstall your OS.

Yeah, no backup. And the thing is... I don't have another rig with SATA. I'm thinking of stickin' in my IDE HD to backup some **** (it's just a few things).

GAHHH... the only reason why I did it was because I thought it would work without a hitch. It worked before on PartitionMagic but it wasn't compatible with Vista...

ARG.

It probably would have if you just let it run

Whenever I help people partition their drives I swear I yell "IT WILL PAUSE AND TAKE A WHILE DO NOT CANCEL" at least 34214 times...... and some people still do it and screw up the disk.

And if it makes you feel better:

Its a merge for all!

Haha, it helps a little Panda.

I'll see what I can do... You think I can install XP on a 4GB Microdrive?

Yeah, an XP Pro install takes up about 2.5-3GB. You can also use BartPE to backup your stuff.

Yup, I just read that. It's confusing me a little, but I guess it's better than having to reinstall XP on an IDE HD.
