| I tried to get my partitions back into 1 (it was split into a 70GB Vista partition and 80GB XP partition). Well, I used Paragon Partition Manager... It told me it'd take an hour for it to delete the XP partition and extend the Vista partition. So I cut it short about 9 min in... Now it's not starting... I'm really regretting doing that... What do I do... :( - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | Hmmm, I've never used Paragon, but Partition magic has you create backup discs so you can recover from any disasters.....i suppose you didn't back things up? | Throw the HD into a linux rig, or try a Knoppix Live-CD, and try to recover any valuable files...and format and reinstall your OS. Opteron 64 165--1.5GB DDR--ECS KA1 MVP(thanks HL!)--x1800GTO 256MB--Seagate 320GB SATA--Antec 550 Watt--Antec P180 |

| Yeah, no backup. And the thing is... I don't have another rig with SATA. I'm thinking of stickin' in my IDE HD to backup some **** (it's just a few things). GAHHH... the only reason why I did it was because I thought it would work without a hitch. It worked before on PartitionMagic but it wasn't compatible with Vista... | Yeah, an XP Pro install takes up about 2.5-3GB. You can also use BartPE to backup your stuff. ![]() The greatest proof that intelligent life exists is the fact that they haven't tried to contact us yet. |
