Can I use the downloaded CD for a new system build? I guess I what I mean is, can I use this instead of having to install windows on my new build? I'm wanting to get my wifes new system up and running asap. I don't think I can wait until my buddy gets back home next weekend. And I can't afford to buy a new OS right now. Any help is appreciated. Bailey.

Burn iso, boot from cd.....install.........sorted. You can try it as a live cd first too to see if it works for you. ![]() You should fold!!! Join us: Team 50578 Racing Team Penguin to 100k.... within 20k now

i would suggest kubuntu. very user friendly, and a nice distro imo. even if she does like games, with wine, i can get my lappy to run CSS almost as nice as it does with XP. (a loss of 3-5fps) i still get 50 or so FPS so it's a small loss. (dual boot on my lappy, straight XP Pro on my desktop)

i would suggest starting with 6.11 fiesty, because the update to 6.11 to 6.10 buggered up some stuff and cause about an hour of mayhem at my end...with beryl and the beta nvidia 9 drivers.... eh life goes on

I'm downloading for a 64 bit set-up now. I hope this will fix it. I was getting the install screen and everything, just when I tried to install I got the error. | |
