Default is there a way to save a file from virtual pc?

i have virtual pc 2007 installed on my vista machine. works fine. i am trying to make a slipstreamed xp disc using nlite and ryanvm.

the problem is when i get to the part where i am supposed to integrate with ryanvm, the program crashes during the process. i'm assuming it has something to do with vista.

so i have a windows xp with sp2 going in virtual pc 2007, and i had to update the framework within xp. now i'm in the process of making the disc in there. once it is complete i will have a file inside my virtual pc that i want to get onto my vista, so i can burn it and have a slipstreamed xp disc.

anybody know if there is a way to save a file from my virtual pc onto my computer?

TIA

Simply use the built in Win XP CD burning rom to burn your slipstreamed install disk to a CD. Or install your favorite flavor of Nero. I know there are some issues with trying to write a CD while in Virtual machine, but I've done it before. I'm pretty sure I just used XP's built in file burning rom while in the virtual environment.

ahh i figured it out, by mistake that is.

while i was away from the computer.. virtual pc 2007 popped up a messege saying i haven't installed virtual pc additions. i read what it was about and thought it might help so i installed it.

once installed i can drag and drop from within the virtual machine onto my vista desktop.

problem solved!
