Default Stompsoft? Just PC Backup

I just picked up PC Backup from Fry's for 30 bucks with a $30 MIR. So I figure that its worth 3 bucks (tax) to get a data backupper software. Just wondering if any of u have experience with PC Backup or Stompsoft. I went to NewEgg and most of the problems had to do with either m$ server 2003 or
backing up to a DVD.

I'm using it to back up about 80gb to 2 separate drives. I guess I can only do one at a time, since there is no room for a 2nd destination.

Hopefully this software will work. The last backup software I had was BouceBack Express which crashed every time I tried to back up.... =/

Well so far it works well.

It keeps the location tree, so here's what it does
Backup/C/Documents and settings/
Backup/C/Application Data/
Backup/C/Program Files/etcetc

The only thing I can find that it doesnt have that it could have is the exclusion option. Like on BBExpress it has an option to exclude certain folders or file types. (like my iTunes folder, which is 106gb of this backup)

But that can be easily solved by telling iTunes to make it's folder in C:/iTunes or something.

I just ran that script to test it's speed. Not bad. 2 times as long as it took using windows explorer, but it's got a scheduler so I set it to go at 3 am Tuesday and Wednesday (backs up the same thing, once to my external and once to my internal 2ndary.

It has a process in the tray, but I don't even notice it. its one of those <2,000 processes.

Will keep yall posted on how it handles the schedule.

Never tried it. I like the Maxtor MaxBlast best, does what I need it to do.

I've used Ghost to make an image with no luck. Does this software do that also or does it just back up?

You can do a full hard drive backup, but I have read some reviews online that say it doesn't work very well....

But I just use the 'copy' backup... I find if there would be a problem with my HD I wouldn't want to restore it =P

Ok, 3 weeks into the software and its actually quite good =)
If I have my PC off for a scheduled backup, it pops up a bubble and says "Hey, you missed one or more scheduled backups!" and then I open the window and it lists all sorts of info:

I can just click "Run Now" to do the missed backup.

On the Zambini Scale of software ratings
I'd give it a 9/10
What I needed: Something to back up my files
What I got: Something to back up my files

The only thing missing (which is why I didnt give it a 10) is the exclusion of a certain folder, like "Do not copy from /iTunes/*"
I had to move my iTunes folder to C:/iTunes from my Documents cuz I didnt want 2 120gb backups =/
