i have McAfee 2007 full suite, and i had a spyware infection. McAfee told me about it about 10 times, and so did the actual application (thats the point of the spyware) - restarted the comp after one of McAfee's warnings, all gone.

McAfee = awesome. may not be the same virus, but McAfee will keep your files safe.

Just try a simple manual removal as mentioned here:

SpyLocked Removal Instructions For Windows XP/Vista

Next refrain from the overwhelming urge to eliminate your brother. Also do as much of the removal in Safe Mode with System Restore turned off. Remember to turn it on when things are cool.

Checked several different anti virus sites, and none of them even have a listing of this "worm"!!!!

For one, it cannot be activated by itself, it has to be activated from the computer user

Well, I finally decided to try one of the best anti virus software in the world, and behold it is listed and they have a free online pc scan that should eliminate your problem

Antivirus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, firewall. Protect yourself with Panda

At the bottom left of the opening window, you will see the panda active scan. You will however have to be using internet fricking explorer to do the active scan!

Panda is the only one that I could find, that had the damn thing listed, but at least someone does, and has the active scan to rid the system of the "worm"
