Thumbs up Songbird is the best media player yet!

Songbird is the best media player I have used so far. It beats any other media player hands down. It even acts like a web browser. Definately a program I will be keeping on my computer for a long time to come.

Songbird 0.2 5/5

Ha, looks cool enough. I'm not in search of a media library though, I'm a classic windows explorer user. :P

Looks kinda neat, but I'll just stick with VLC, :-P

This is cool thanks for the heads-up. I don't know that I'll use it for a everyday browser but when I feel like listening to music while I browse this is good.

I prefer WinAmp to be honest... and iTunes for organizing my musics.

But that does look cool and i do enjoy OpenSource software

I much prefer just using Windows Explorer to organize and use my music. I either use Windows Media Player or Winamp for playing. I've heard a lot of people crowing about VLC too, maybe I'll give that a whirl.

To be completely honest, while VLC is by far the best video player I've ever used, it's very lame for music because its playlist capabilities are lacking and its interface is unintuitive. Really the only thing it has going for it is the fact it can play so many formats on any platform. It's also pretty slow. I prefer XMMS and Rythmbox for music.

iTunes FTW! But damn that's snazzy!

And yeah, I'm stuck to it because of my iPod... but I've been using iTunes since it came out on PC where I've had my iPod for 3 months.

The newest release of iTunes sucks. Syncing your music is about as easy as pulling teeth with an icepick. Unfortunately, with my wife's 2nd gen iPod shuffle, you HAVE to use iTunes. You can't just drag and drop on it like I can with my iPod.

In what way is VLC slow? It has the lowest CPU usage out of any media player I've used.
