Start >> Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs >> Zone Alarm >> Uninstall. Let us know if that doesn't help. :)

Zone Alarm is a great firewall. However, the intital setup can be a bit tricky. I don't mess with software firewalls myself I find them to be a PITA.

Yep, and as far as suites go, the Zone Alarm Security Suite is actually pretty decent.

I use zone alarm for my firewall and AVG for antivirus and there pretty easy if you leave them set at the novice and don't change things.

They're also pretty useless.
I have yet to see someone hacked because he had no firewall. No, really.

I don't have any useful info on my computer anyway.

I don't use a firewall either. Although I do use Kaspersky antivirus.

EDIT: No Paul, Not even the software firewall from SP2. Technically speaking... I do run my computers behind a firewall in my router.

EDIT: OK PAUL, STOP. I disagree that firewalls are useless. They do of course have their uses if you are not running behind a router, which alot of people do.

Same here. My protection comes in the form of:

- Router w/ built in firewall
- Zone Alarm Free Edition firewall
- Windows SP2 Firewall
- AVG Antivirus Free Edition
- Spybot Search & Destroy (spyware)
- Adaware (spyware)
- HijackThis (spyware)
- F-Secure Blacklight (rootkit scanner)

Of course, the best protection is smart computing habits, such as not visiting questionable websites, limit peer-to-peer (P2P) activity rather than haphazardly downloading everything under the sun, don't execute unknown files, and so forth.

Really, firewalls are a PITA.
If there's any valuable info on your computer and somebody knows about it, then you're getting hacked anyway. Else there's an infinitely small percentage of chances you get hacked by a totally bored out of his mind hacker scanning IP's for open ports. And then again, he'd have to know a flaw or something in the inside.
So as long as you don't run every executable available on the internet & open weird e-mails, you're probably never going to get hacked, because you're no use for anyone with enough knowledge to "hack" his way in.

Just my thoughts on the matter, I know I wouldn't spend countless minutes to hack someone for family pictures, if a hacker I was. :P

Protection consists of;
Windows XP SP2 Integrated firewall
AVG Free
Ewido security suite
Spybot search and destroy
Ad-aware SE
("active protection" not active on any, just a scan once in a while to be sure i'm spyware free)
HijackThis!
Task manager. :P

My router half the time is in DMZ which redirects any traffic to my computer unless noted otherwise.

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?
