| Anyone else here use photoshop elements 5 and Vista home premium 64? I'm back to XP because even though I like vista and it works great with my other programs, vista 64 just seems to hate photoshop elements5. | You might want to try Vista 32 bit because you only have 2GB of RAM. PS works fine on my Mom's Vista 32 bit laptop. | aka Mike Honcho | i'm using elements 5.0 with vista 64 and it works fine. when the programs starts for the first time, vista says it has known compatibility issues with it but i used it anyways and it works fine for me. | HL's Technomancer | Seems the 5.0.2 Update for Elements provides support for Vista, but only the 32-bit version. This is odd, considering I run CS2 fine on Vista 64, and you would think the WOW engine would be able to handle it. What exactly are the problems you're having? | For some reason elements will just loose the path to the pictures in its browser and have to reconnect them, but it gives up about a minute into the reconnect. It also just locks up at random times. My photos are on an external and there are admittedly lots of them (over 12,000 raw images) but the hard drive stays plugged in and always gets assigned the same letter, it's just wierd. xp loves elements. | Packers Fanboi | That is wierd... I know elements 4 seems to work pretty good with vista64. I tried installing a newer version than that, and it wasn't working that well. can't remember which version it was though. ![]() e6300@3.33ghz|Asus P5k-e WiFi| 4gb OCZ ReaperX|2x 3870's|1.3tb storage space|MSI tv tuner. |
