I haven't tried Elements, but Photoshop CS3 is working without issue on my 64-bit Vista install.

You might want to try Vista 32 bit because you only have 2GB of RAM. PS works fine on my Mom's Vista 32 bit laptop.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 + Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL + Thermalright HR-05 IFX
2GB G.Skill 800MHz F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ
EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB
Silverstone Decathlon 650W
Western Digital 250GB SATA II

i'm using elements 5.0 with vista 64 and it works fine. when the programs starts for the first time, vista says it has known compatibility issues with it but i used it anyways and it works fine for me.

Seems the 5.0.2 Update for Elements provides support for Vista, but only the 32-bit version. This is odd, considering I run CS2 fine on Vista 64, and you would think the WOW engine would be able to handle it.

What exactly are the problems you're having?

For some reason elements will just loose the path to the pictures in its browser and have to reconnect them, but it gives up about a minute into the reconnect. It also just locks up at random times. My photos are on an external and there are admittedly lots of them (over 12,000 raw images) but the hard drive stays plugged in and always gets assigned the same letter, it's just wierd. xp loves elements.

That is wierd... I know elements 4 seems to work pretty good with vista64. I tried installing a newer version than that, and it wasn't working that well. can't remember which version it was though.

Same for CS2, which I'm using successfully under Vista x64. :)
