| I've used nLite and vLite before. Bear in mind that if you use vlite before installed Vista SP1 it won't let you install it. I'm not sure if this is the same for all versions of Vista. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

| Yeah very solid program. You can mod it to tweak a lot of things, even a totally un-assisted installation. I did it for my parents when I gave them a copy of the XP disk. I rebuilt it with nLite to auto put in the license code, do typical network settings, default work group, Set time zone and to set up user as Family. All they had to do was run the installation, and it did all the work for them, didn't prompt them for anything. |

| Is there anyway to get around this? The reason I wanted to use vLite was to integrate SP1 and all hotfixes, etc. into the install. |

| T-Rex | That's slipstreaming. IIRC, vLite does it. |

| Functional Alcoholic | Yes slipstreaming is one of the main features of nLite/vLite. I have used nLite quite a bit. It's a great little program, just keep in mind with XP if you add all your drivers, service packs, and hotfixes, you will more then likely go over the capacity of a CD, and will have to use a DVD. Which is what most people would probably use anyways. |

| Yes, but apparently there is an issue when slipstreaming SP1 while at the same time removing other crap and adding hotfixes. [Tutorial] Build Windows Vista SP1 x86 DVD using vLite - MSFN Forums And this note at the bottom of the page: Quote:
