| Hello everyone and ty ahead of time for any help you can offer. I think it may be a rather easy request. I'm trying to teach myself a thing or two about computer graphics. Im interested in the type of effect when images from a few different pictures are blended into one single picture. I can basically teach myself, problem is, I dont even know what t he effect is called to even look it up. I am including an example of what I am talking about. I'm using GIMP as stated in the title of my thread. ![]() Can anyone tell me what this effect is called or give me any tips of how to acheive it? Thank you so much:) | ||||||||||||||

| First of all, you could start with the "Select hand-drawn regions" tool (the lasso icon) to extract the portion you want to be in the other image. Then you could change the opacity of that layer after you paste it into the new image. ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| Just to bring it to basics, its called multiple exposure, layering, or mixing. Do you understand layers in GIMP yet? If not, we need to start there. AFter you get that part, you are home free. Manta | ||||||||||||||
