| VLC will probably be able to do it, unless they are HD-DVD/Blu-Ray rips. Opteron 64 165--1.5GB DDR--ECS KA1 MVP(thanks HL!)--x1800GTO 256MB--Seagate 320GB SATA--Antec 550 Watt--Antec P180 |

| Modder-ator | Are you sure you have an HDCP compliant monitor or TV? I think you also have to have it connected via DVI or HDMI (there is no HDCP over VGA, component, or composite video). Also, I think HD playback on PC software (like PowerDVD) is still in the beta stage, so there might not actually be software available to play the content yet (at least not free software). |

| Ahh here we go. Alright, the computer can try all it wants to play the movie at full 1080p resolution, but if your monitor isn't a 1080p monitor, you're not seeing it in 1080p my friend. In this case it's a TV, and of course it can play HD content...but I think your TV is 720p/1080i. If so, it won't play at 1920x1080 (impossible, of course) it will play at either 1280x720, or 1366x768. |

| Are they images or AVIs? If it's an image, then run Daemon Tools and use a virtual drive. It'll work just like a regular drive and PowerDVD should go dandy. If it's an AVI (or other format), go for VLC HD. EDIT: Where can I find VLC HD anyways? I thought I had it. - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 Last edited by wtcnbrwndo4u; June 27th, 2007 at 21:45. |
