Default Need DVD player help
i have realized as to by DS3 didnt come with a DVD decoder so as my DVDburner which is an OEM version...

and as cheap as i am i dont wan to spend more than i already did with my computer... so if anyone could help me play my DVD on my computer please...

its giving me this when i play it with mediaplayer11

error message C00D1163

Download and install CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack)

i did... nothing happened... i even tried kite klcodec288b.exe... i dont know whats going on... i need a dvd player...

If you installed CCCP as it comes it also installed Media Player Classic in 'C:\Program Files\Combined Community Codec Pack'
Run that then try to play your DVD using it.

hey it did... then why didn't it play with Win MP11??? i kinda dont like the look of the classic look...

WMP11 is probably the worst media player. If you knew what I went thru after installing it... If you can/want, try going back to WMP10 and see if this works.

It might be the wrong region code or something else is set wrong in WMP11. Is this an HDDVD or something? It also sounds like it might be a DRM issue.

Actually, WMP11 works pretty well in Vista.

Actually, WMP11 works pretty well in Vista.
Ya, IE7 is also much faster in Vista... ;D

I usually use VLC (sometimes Totem or Kaffiene, actually, but VLC works in Windows). It comes with a DVD decoder.

I second VLC, it has worked on machines that had a DVD playing drive but didn't want to use or pay for programs that were not guaranteed to work. Also many times with the Nero disc liek what I got with my OEM HP drive, it also included a DVD playing program (forget which one)
