| Missing some Codec's? I had to reformat my laptop after getting a rather nasty virus that took over my homepage, rendered FF inop, AVG died, in IE7 I couldn't go to Panda or Housecall. Idle system processes, with no other programs running, was at 40%, not good, and using 256Mb of ram, horrible! So I just turned off my wireless and formatted then installed my OS.
So I immediately went to get my Codec's and thought, "I wonder how many folks at HL can't play video's or get missing codec errors when trying to play back video's?"
So here's what I've been using for years. K-Lite Codec Pak
The standard package is 19Mb in size. Using this little program, I've never had a problem playing back video's. It does want to set WMP CLassic as the default player, so if you want to use something else, like WMP10, uncheck that box.
