| Are you sure its just not being hidden? Right click on the task bar > properties and uncheck "Hide inactive icons". If that doesn't help, let us know exactly which ones are disappearing. | Modder-ator | You can also click the "Customize..." button in that menu and select which exact icons you want to resurrect and to what state. |

| The Real Final Word | The main problem that I see from the picture is this: All of the icons that are left of the clock are current programs running!!!!!! All of them programs running in the background seriously hog system resources. And probably why there is icons missing is that after you reboot they are not set to start at windows startup. You may have to start the program and then close out of it for it to stay running in the background and leaving the icon in the taskbar. Even though I can't imagine why you would want so much running all of the time. |

| Lvl 1 College Student | The Eject USB devices icon, the Volume Icon, and the nVidia display icon. Quote:
The only thing I don't leave running when performance is important is Bitlord. But I have 3gb of ram and a c2d running @ 3.2ghz, so it isnt very big of a performance degradation leaving the few unnecessary-to-run-constantly programs (bitlord and bluetooth). As for them not being in startup, I checked the startup and they are there. | |
