Default Looking for Remote Desktop Software

I'm looking for an easy to use remote desktop program that I can use from work or anywhere else in the world to access my computer at home. I also would like to be able to use a wake-on-lan function when the computer happens to be off. I'm just now getting into this type of access at work and I'm looking for a freeware program that will work as well as what I'm using at work.

AMD Athlon 64 Processor 4000+
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
4 GB DDR SDRAM
2 eVGA GeForce 7800 GT 256 MB
2 Seagate Barracuda 7200 (200GB each)
Thermaltake Tsunami
Windows XP SP2

You might try VNC. It's free and works well in my opinion.

Jafo is there a reason why you can't use remote desktop that comes with XP?

may need to add in the needed ports if there is a router at home, otherwise the built in Windows RDC should work fine

Thanks HL and Corsair!
