| Modder-ator | OK, I have a laptop, an old microphone, and some computer speakers connected to the laptop. I need to know how to project/amplify my voice into the mic and out through the computer speakers. Quickly if possible, this is for a wedding that starts in an HOUR!!! ![]() |

| Can't you simply unmute the mic in the volume panel? Edit: Yeah, go to the volume panel, and under playback, (you might have to go into the properties to show the mic playback) unmute it and crank the volume up. No promises on how good it'll sound =\. That's the easy windows way to do it..... Good luck Last edited by NoctisReitop; December 29th, 2007 at 10:03. |

Go back to Options and Properties. Tick the Playback radio button and click OK. Make sure the Microphone is not muted. To reduce echo you might need to fiddle with Microphone recording volume AND/OR Mic amplification. To access Mic amp, go to Options and click Advanced controls. A button should appear under microphone recording volume, allowing you to boost it. | |

| Modder-ator | Thanks guys, I'll write that down and give it a shot. I don't have the equipment in front of me to try it out, so I'll keep you updated. I can't believe my best friend is getting married!!! ![]() |

| Heh, reminds me of a joke my Vietnamese calculus teacher pulled on us. His English is very poor and said to us one day, "Do you know what the longest sentence is in English............. I know what it is." The class mumbled some and couldn't come up with an answer. He then replied, "I do...... Lifetime sentence." >.< |

| Modder-ator | Well, no mic for me. I got there and the laptop had frickin' Vista on it! ![]() There was no sndvol32.exe anywhere so I just gave up right there. :dontknow: Still went well though, we just had to shut everyone up to make the toast. |

| T-Rex | Aye. Well there's the sound control somewhere hidden in Vista too, most likely in the control panel/bottom right of taskbar. Glad everyone shut up and let the toast go though. :P |
