iPod/iTunes/Vista issues...

Yes, I'm running iTunes 7.11 and the recent patch Microsoft issued for Vista and Safely Remove Hardware... Also, apparently running a flash drive with ReadyBoost affected the playback of video files in iTunes/QT. Nuts, eh?

Everything else works fine now. My actual problem is that iTunes won't eject my iPod.

The iPod "Sameer's iPod" cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application.

Um, problem. Only iTunes is using the iPod, nothing else is open.

Should I try restoring the iPod?

As of right now, all I do is remove the cable from the iPod. No safe eject. I still don't trust the Safely Remove Hardware even though it's supposed to fix it. Should I go for that?

I used iTunes version 7.02 on Vista and it works fine. Of course, I don't use ReadyBoost.

iTunes 7.2 released yesterday... I'm downloading it now.

For any of you guy's who use itunes but are not stuck with it due to having an ipod try mediamonkey media library software. Its basicly like a clean itunes without DRM.

Yeah, but I hate the interface... I've gotten way to accustomed to iTunes. I'm one of the few that actually want to use iTunes. I've been using it since it came out for PC.

I've noticed alot of DJ's use itunes but most likely because they dont know of an alternative.
