I'm really looking forward to seeing what this badboy does in the near future, as well as down the road... I'm proud of Intel for a move like this - it really bodes well for their near future CPU plans!

Besides, it will motivate AMD even more to work on better chip design :)

Very impressive for sure, but when the heck are these chips actually going to hit retail stores?!?! It's going on a month since launch and still nothing. Pretty lame if you ask me....

Launch was July 27th. On August 7th, expect to find every online retailer with Core 2 Duo instock. Newegg, ZipZoomFly, and a few other retailers had them instock and sold some, but Intel made them stop.

I got lucky and found one and it will be here Saturday via Fedex.
