Default CoreTemps causing restarts

OK, so I start up Windows and I try to open CoreTemps. As soon as I double click on it, the system does an reboot. WTF!? I try again and it does it again. Have any ideas?

My best guess would run with this:

Quote:
I wrote Core Temp in Visual C++, and designed it to be compact so as not to suck up much RAM or other system resources while running, unlike some other programs. The program is still in development and I'm still adding features to it - there are some interesting features to be added in the next release.
I messed with Core Temp a little but it won't work on this everyday box as it is a Pentium D processor. Later I will try it on my Xeons. The program should read your processor. Just for the hell of it, you may want to see if the reboots left anything in the event log related.

That or disable the auto restart on system error and see what happens. My guess is a compatability issue in there somewhere.

Ron
