Default Burning Dual Layer

I have no idea how to burn a dual layer dvd. I know that my DVD burner is capable of burning dual layer and I know that my dvd's are compatible, but I have no idea how to do it. I'm using the latest version of Nero. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks!

if it is single layer disc, set it to DVD4 or 5 (or 4.5) during the encoding and if it is a dual layer disc then set it to DVD9 during the encoding. I tend to use single layer DVD+R and encode them to fit a single disc. When watching the movie unless it was originally a VERY high quality movie, I can't notice any difference in picture or sound over a S-Video connection and surround sound on a 35" TV

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Exactly, I set the format as DVD9 (8100mb). I just finished burning The Sopranos Season 1, and it works perfectly on my 61 inch television, its not the least blurry or stretched out.

dual layer is made for higher capacity.. its when you take a dual layer original or larger file (6-8GB) and encode it to fit on a single layer that tends to lower the quality.
