Default AutoCAD 2006 and Vista

Hello everyone.......I have a question that has been on my mind from ever since Vista came about. Is AutoCAD 2006 compatible with all the flavors of Vista?? I need a new laptop machine soon and hope to get one that has Vista OS. Need to know if I can use AutoCAD on it before buying.

Auto-Cad is only adding Vista support for 2007-2008 none is planned for 2006 release. You could dual boot Vista and Xp, you just need to uninstall Vista then install Xp and reinstall Vista after that.

After taking a look at the Features and Specifications of AutoCAD on the Autodesk website, it lists Vista as a compatable operating system, so I'd say you're safe.

EDIT:
Looks like that is AutoCAD 2008, not 2006
After looking through the FAQ Support, it looks like Joker is right...

I read there was a problem because of open gl and vista and that they were not planning any fix for 2006. The specs on the above link are for Auto-Cad 2008.

You can always try it and if it doesn't work just uninstall it. Try compatability mode but from what I've read it probably won't work for now anyway.
