Default Adobe 9 on the way

DailyTech - Adobe Acrobat 9 Announced

Quote:
Adobe unveiled the newest version of its Acrobat software today. Adobe says that Acrobat 9 is a significant upgrade and promises it will transform the process of creating and sharing electronic documents.
Acrobat 9 adds native support for Flash technology that allows users to embed Flash Player compatible video and applications directly in PDF documents. To view the content, the PDF recipient only needs to have the Adobe Flash Player installed.
OpEd:
*shurgs* who cares, adobe is pricing things for commercial usage anyways. I suggest to anyone that will listen to remove Adobe Reader and get Foxit Reader. If they want to created PDFs then use Open Office. both programs are free...

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Yawn.

Adobe products have been getting more cluttered, clunkier and heavy with each revision. Adobe Reader being the worst.

reminds me of Microsoft...

"hey they got faster computers so they can handle these larger programs! If they have an old one this will force them to upgrade (hopefully to Vista)"

To hell with efficiency, let's add transparent windows, rounded edges and pre-loading of the application at logon! :P

I used to use Foxit after switching from Adobe Reader. I'm currently using Sumatra PDF. It's even faster than Foxit, although it has less features. However, I don't often deal with PDFs, so no biggie for me.
