Default Zalman ZM750-HP Power Supply Review

Zalman opened up shop in 1999 with a focus on bringing peace to the computer world - in the form of silent computing. They became well known for their quiet and unique (if not bizarre at times) cooling products. Nearly a decade later, Zalman's product line has expanded, but their philosophy of producing unique and quiet products has continued. That philosophy can be seen in the Zalman HP power supply line. The Zalman HP line of supplies are designed for silent performance and utilize a heat pipe system in pursuit of that. It's unique, and it's oh so "Zalman."

I've always been wondering how the latest crop of Zalman PSUs are doing... and now I know! Thanks!
Good to see then putting forth a good effort and making a solid unit here. The price is pretty high, but most 750W modular units are going to be (still out of my price range though).

Do you have any information on which cable is actually on which 12V rail? I know there is the sticker on there that says which connectors are on which rail, but they just say "SATA" or "CPU" etc on it and I was wondering if they actually label which SATA cable they mean since there are three of them.

Thanks Guys,

That info was not provided - however, from looking at it I am pretty sure that the Modular SATA are on one rail and the non-modular SATA is on the other. I don't recall which was which. For PCI-E, the non-modular is on the 12V3 and the modular one is on 12V2.

good stuff! a bit pricey but will be worth it when it drops $30-40 (for the price/performance ratio)

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I agree to that. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
