| After ordering a Antec Quattro 1000w then cancelling my order after realising I will never get close to using it to its full capacity, then concidering the 850w version, then writing it off for the same reasons, I have narrowed my search, down to 2 finalist's. Please help me decide which 1 to go for, either the Thermaltake Toughpower 750 or the Corsair TX 750. All input welcome! (I am leaning towards the Corsair for some reason) EDIT: Or should I go for a Antec Quattro 850w. I know I will not use all that power, but it has the Antec quality and it isnt that much more than the 2 above mentioned PSUs Q6600 G0 - Intel DP965LT MSI 8600GT (Silent edition) - Big Typ VX Seagate 160GB Hard Drive 7200RPM SATAII/300 8MB Cache Kingston 2x1GB DDR2 800mhz/PC2-6400 Non-ecc CL5 NEC Optiarc 18xDVD±RW DL Corsair TX750 - Danger Den Water Box Plus Panasonic 32" LCD - Vista 64 Premium Last edited by MontanaFX; April 16th, 2008 at 13:47. | ||||||||||||||

| Corsair TX 750 gets my vote. Thermaltake has alright power supplies, but which always felt "empty" to me. What are the prices for those? Regarding Antec quality, I know the Quattro series are pretty good, but I would consider Antec to be a bit under many other more popular brands. ![]() If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you? | ||||||||||||||

| The Corsair is about £83, the Thermaltake is about £80 and the Antec is about £100. Your view on Antec surprises me. I always considered them the best and have heard similar views in reviews. | I've owned a Thermaltake 650W Toughpower and it's never given me any trouble. Now it's in my friend's rig and it's still going strong. I've never used a Corsair PSU, so I can't comment on that. | I myself love this Corsair in my box. I have had good luck myself with Antec as well but have heard stories of others that have not... I take that with a grain of salt, kind of like I do with bad talking Microsoft, its easy to target them due to their size. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | I just looked up the BFG and its looks like its near impossible to source over here (UK). I like the Corsair but was put off a little by the single 12v output circuit. Do you think that could cause any issues?
