| I have my parts ordered and on the way for my new PC, installing in my current case. The last time I upgraded my PSU for this case, I got it home and realized that the fan was on the top instead of coming out the back like my old one, and there was no vent on top of my case. So I just beat some holes with a screwdriver in the top of the case. My new PSU coming is the same way. I'm wondering what will be better, turning it upside down where it will be blowing right by the processor, but not have anything blocking it, or keep it right side up, and use my custom holes, which aren't near as many as a real vent would have. I haven't had any problems with the way the old PSU was, but I will be drawing considerably more power now. |

| Thanks for the reply actually, I didn't even think about turning it upside down until I was moving everything from my old computer to an even older case and run into the same problem, prompting me to finally think outside the box and turn the PSU upside down. I don't have any vents in the back, but have two with fans on the side. And the holes in the top don't bother me any. Case has stickers all over it anyway. I'm not super huge on the look of the case, just like what's inside(that's poetic) |

If you can turn it without much effort, do so. It is intended to be used this way and the fan is not there for nothing. ;) | |

| Modder-ator | HAHAHA, you bashed holes in the top with a screw driver!! ![]() Anyway, the typical way power supplies are mounted is with the fan facing down into the case toward the CPU. the fan in the bottom of the power supply is actually an intake fan, so it will be exhausting air out the back. |
