Default Party About Over..... NOT!

It was with great interest and enthusiam that I read the article The Party Is About Over authored by HardwareLogic's own Manta (AKA Chris). Manta's logic follows that with today's power hungry GPUs, the need for speed and power is about to run into a wall. That wall being the poor lowly wall outlet which is our primary source of power.

I introduce the wall outlet!

Now in the quest for FPS and the need for speed we need to look beyond the wall outlet as a source of power. Yes, today's GPUs need power and it is apparent that the GPU manufacturers are not about to quit their current inefficient designs.

Today's graphic intensive demanding games need both GPU and CPU power! Believe me because as a hard core gammer I know. I play only the most demanding games:

I have therefore taken it upon myself to develop and improve methods to deliver additional 12 Volt power where it is needed, when it is needed for as long as it is needed (within limits).

The perfect system:

I also offer my proof of concept:

Special credit to my wife Kathy as I used her machine for this test. I was not stupid enough to use my own stuff!

HAHAHA nice!
Are there actually any components in that case though? All I see are a bunch of wires!

Actually yes, it is actually a running machine and yes, I was serious as it is Kathy's machine. Older Antec Plus View, 3 GHZ P4 (Northwood I think), and an Intel 875 series motherboard. Works fine (despite me) for what she does.

I have returned it to its normal state.

heh cool!
hey I have that exact same Antec case... it houses my XP3000+ system AMG1000PlusView or something like that... just a fancy name for the SOHO1030 series case...

Thanks HL and Corsair!

LOLOL, yep that is so true, I actually still have one of the SOHO1030B Antec cases. Talk about rock solid, and heavy
