| Looks sick with great features, but the "automobile styling" is not for me. Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 | DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL | 2GB G.Skill 800MHz | EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB | Silverstone Decathlon 650W | Western Digital 250GB SATA II | ||||||||||||||

| I'm Diggin it!
| Looks like Optimus Prime shit a computer case. Just teasing with ya Pete. It's very refreshing to see TT putting some serious effort into adding features that help. So many case makers today are afraid to take the initiative and try new things. I like it. Not the styling mind you, but I do like the integration of features internally. | *Brutally honest post, no offense meant to Pete, Tt engineers, or the Tt marketing team!* Thanks for the sneak peak Pete!!! What is the expected price point for this bohemoth? Yeah, definitely one huge case, tbut it still doesn't look like it has much space inside... ![]() There is too much plastic "frill" on the exterior for my liking, but I guess that's what some people liked about the original Xaser cases. The front door and panel actually look decent, but that stuff on the top is not for me. Especially that little clear cover over the USB I/O panel, I can see that just getting in the way and breaking off. And 10 expansion card slots?! What motherboard has 10 expansion card slots?! I can see trying to make use of the extra space at the bottom of the case, but those 3 extra slots are pretty useless. I would have rather seen them ditch the extra slots and spread the space out around the motherboard to make it more centered on the tray to add little more room around the edges (primarily the top and bottom) to work in a route cables. Speaking of cable management, I do like the cut-out on the mobo tray for the power cables. The water cooling options are a nice touch too, and I can definitely see the benefit to Tt by including such things to entice people to buy the compatable Tt watercooling components. But the fact of the matter is that most people (enthusiast and newcomers alike) will not ever bother with watercooling like that. So they are stuck paying for these extras on what would otherwise be (what appears to be) a good aircooling chassis. I think Tt should offer three versions of this new Xaser case... One with no side panel + no watercooling options, one with a side panel window + no watercooling options, and one with a side panel + watercooling options. Finally, how the heck do you pronounce Xaser anyway?!?!?! It's driven me nuts since I first saw these cases way back in the day. A little phonetic help on this one would be much appreciated Pete ![]() Last edited by gvblake22; August 20th, 2007 at 17:04. | ||||||||||||||

| Haha! I was wondering the same thing. I would think it's pronounced "Zay-Zer", right? | ||||||||||||||

There are two versions, one with water cooling and one without. I would stick with the one without. Price should be around the same as the Armor, maybe a bit more. 10 PCI slots for the people that want to do 3 card SLI. Thats 6 slots take up right there. That case will be a behemoth. GV, nothing you say can offend me. You can call my mama a dirty whore and I really wont care. If I did get offended then that means it might be true but since I know its not true, I wont be ;) I wouldnt get this case personally. Too flashy for me. They removed the Video??? WTF? There is an armor+ sneak preview coming. | |||||||||||||||
