| The PSU you choose looks like it has only 14A on each 12v rail, seems low, considering that other power supplies can take 22A+ on only one rail, almost as much as the two rails combined in this PSU. Don't know the pc specs you will be using this PSU with, so the cheap PS might be fine for it. I personally wouldn't trust any pc with such a cheap PSU. Maybe this one from Antec? || AMD Athlon64 3800+ Venice | Asus A8N5X s939 | OCZ Premier PC3200 Du-Ch 1GB | Sapphire X1600Pro 512MB PCI-e | 1xWD 80Gb & 1xWD 250Gb Sata(s) | Antec SLK3800B Case | Enermax NoiseTaker 485W || Last edited by pc_guy; December 6th, 2006 at 05:12. |

| I'm Evil | A PSU is no place to skimp.....a bad one can cause serious issues with your system, and even kill it. I'd at least look for a 400W PSU with 18A on the 12V rail/rails INTEL QX9650 ASUS P5E3 Premium 4GB DDR3-1600 Sapphire HD 3870X2 Danger Den Tower-26 (Custom W/C) 5 x Seagate 250GB HDD in RAID5 BFG ES 800W PSU |

| It is a 6 year old Gateway. Not sure of all of the specs, but it has a 2.0 ghz cpu, one optical drive, onboard video, 512 ddr. The psu that came with it is a weird shape. It is about 14" long. The end is tapered and it will only fit this case. The thing is, I am switching cases and needed a cheap but decent psu to go with it. ![]() |

| You should go with the Fortron I bought. I was going to go with one similar to what you picked out and Paul talked me out of it. Like Rich said, it's a terrible place to skimp. But why are you considering changing cases, anyways? Also, check out the sticker on your old PSU to get its specs. |

| The side panel clip is broken so the side panel wont stay on. The clips on the bottom are broken off and the tray that it sits on is missing. It wouldnt sit right on it anyway since the clips are broken. ![]() |

| You could do what I do - leave the side panel off 24/7. |
