Default Looking Into a New Case

Hey all-

Just wanted some second opinions. I'm looking into getting a Mountain Mods Twice7 case. It's a bit pricey, but after reading some reviews around the web and getting a good detailed look at it, It's really beginning to grow on me. I'm not sure if any of you have had any hands-on experience with this particular case, but any information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

A bit pricey?! When anyone pays $300 dollars for a case, you have to start asking yourself some basic questions. Such as, do I really need a case that costs $295.99? Granted, it is your money, and you spend it how you see fit. However, there are TONS of other options out there that deliver what you need without having to spend a third of a thousand dollars to do it. With that said, tell us a few things about what you need in a case:

1) What features you are looking for?
2) What do you plan to do with it?
3) What components are going in it?
4) Are you water cooling or using air?

The money that could be saved by going with a lesser cost but still fully functional and competent case is enormous. I strongly urge you to reconsider and answer the four questions I posed before making a purchase. After we see your response, we can better help you find that perfect case you are looking for. =)

If I were to spend 300 dollars on a case, it would have hydraulics...

As for your second opinion, It's a nice case and if you think you will enjoy that case then go for it! However, I also agree that you can get a case that cools just as well for cheaper.

What are you looking for in that case?

Great post garetjax, very true. Give us a little more information about what you are looking for in a case...

I also have a soft spot for the Twice 7, but it is just so hard to justify that price! You can get some very nice full tower cases with just as much room to move as the Twice 7 for much less. You are really paying for the powdercoat and one-of-a-kind product from Mountain Mods. You can get something like the Lian Li PC-G70 for almost half as much and it has just as much room and the build quality is not compromised. Heck, with the savings over the Twice 7, you could go and have the thing professionally powdercoated whatever color you want!

and BTW if I ever spend 300.00 on a case you all have permission to kick me in the jimmy.

I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review

In my opinion it's far from worth the price they ask for. Sure, aluminium and all, but jeez. Look at the number of fans, it's going to be noisy (3x 120mm and 2x 80mm). It's gonna take a huge amount of space and the components placement is less than ideal (check the power supply for instance).
You can get in my opinion much better cases for half the price.
Have fun wiring that to make it look good too, with windows everywhere.

All in all, some people might say it depends on your needs. I just can't see what sort of needs you could have to make this case look like "the perfect case" for you.
