Style. Design. Usability. Quiet. Cool. No, we're not talking automobiles here, but computer cases. Your chassis does a lot more than just keep your parts together, and depending on your tastes and needs, it could say a lot about how and why you use your computer. People who frequently travel and need more power than a laptop will choose a lightweight case, or one with a handle. If you're a pack rat, you'll look for a case with a lot of drive bays, most likely in full tower form. For overclocking enthusiasts, built in water-cooling management is a nice touch. And if you're a tinkerer, you'll want an easy-to-access system.
