Default Enermax Liberty 500W Power Supply Review

Today Blake takes a look at yet another high quality PSU, this one from Enermax, the Liberty 500W

Quote:
Since it's beginning in 1990, Enermax Technology Corporation has built a very good name for its self in the ATX power supply and case markets. Originally based in Taiwan, Enermax has spread subsidiaries and agents to all corners of the globe. Here in the United States, Enermax is represented by Coolergiant Computers, Inc (an Enermax susidiary).

In what aspect are you looking to compare? Both Antec and Enermax offer a 3 year warranty.
I'm going to use the TP-II 550 as an example since the original TruePower is a little out dated...

The Liberty 500W has a modular cable management system ... TP-II 550 does not
The Liberty 500W has active power factor correction (PFC) ... TP-II 550 does not (only available in Europe)
The Liberty 500W has 20A on each 12v rail ... TP-II 550 has 19A on each 12v rail
The Liberty 500W has 80% efficiency ... TP-II 550 has > 70%
The Liberty 500W costs about $110 ... TP-II 550 costs about $84

I was going for a Liberty myself, but my provider didn't have any left and I was power-less. :P

I really like how they include the Enermax 'lanyard'. It also looks like a hellova' PSU.
