Default Corsair VX 550W ATX Power Supply

Picked one up for $45 after rebate (shipped) from Buy.com a couple days ago. I didn't really need one but could not resist the after rebate price and free shipping.

Just checking ... from what I recall $45 is the lowest range for that model ...

anyone see it lower than that with free shipping in the last year?

It will sit in my server.

wow, that's an awesome price. I think I paid almost twice that for mine (bought from ZZF) when they first came out!

I love it. It's in my E2140 system right now (which will soon be upgraded to an E8400). It runs a little warm, but still seems to stay reasonably quiet. There is an odd humming vibration that starts up when the system is under load (gaming) but I think it is due to the case vibrating because if I squeeze the case or press down on the top the vibration stops.

Great ... I'm pretty excited ... I love great deals ... and now both my server and main PC are ready for the next gen Video cards.

Yeah ... I am also waiting for an E3110 ... I think azianai got mine from buy.com about a month ago ... I am still on back order.

Don't hate that I pulled the trigger faster at work than you did =D

If you're that impatient, go with a Q6600 from Microcenter for 200 =P

Hehe ... just messin with ya.

After 6 weeks of backorder I canceled this morning ... I'm going to put my E6600 back into the server and just wait for another penryn deal ... maybe the first great quad penryn that comes on the cheap.

Then I'll toss my Q6600 into the server and use the 45NM chip in my main PC.

I have all my server guts sitting there waiting for a CPU and PS ... now I'll install with the Corsair.
