Default is this a big mistake

im planning too put the components in my tag into this case:

PCDIY ONLINE - Gigabyte GZ-M3

i will have front and rear 92 mm fans but do you think this will be enough for a quiet cool pc? and if the psu can handle it?

If at first you dont succeed...... try and try to get a refund

Gigabyte makes some very nice cases, I had a chance to check that case out at Computex and again at their HQ in LA.......I'd compare it to the Antec Sonata III, but with a little better cooling.

If I am reading this wrong then just ignore my post

It sounds like you are considering the PSU and it's exhaust fan as part of the over PC cooling system. It is best to not consider the PSU in this way. While it can and usually will help some it is not nearly as effective because it is also cooling itself as it does the work.

Personally I perfer cases with 120mm fans for quiet operations, they tend to push a lot more air with a lot less noise. However there are many good cases with 92 mm fans so it is just a matter of noise level.

Capper quick question, you said this case compares to the Sonota II, is this in layout only or in noise level during operation as well? It would seem based on the design it would be noiser but I will bow to someone that has actually seen the case in action.

It's more like...will the 8800 fit in the case. That's the second thing you should worry about.

1) quiet
2) cool
3) will the 8800 fit.

Some $30 case from tigerdirect

I'd compare it to the sonata in overall operation (both noise and cooling), its not quite the total bundle the Sonata is, as it includes a nice 500W PSU, but the gigabyte is a little better build quality (no plastic door). as to whether an 8800 GTX will fit, i can't answer that as i didn't have mine with me when i was checking out the case.

I do find it interesting however that this case can match the Sonota in noise level, that is some serious effort. Guess however it shows how with cooler running processors the noise level overall in systems is dropping.

The 8800GTS is 24cm long (appox. 10.5 in.).

EDIT: Don't read this! It's false info!

The 8800GTX is 10.5" long, not the GTS.
