Default ASPIRE X-Infinity ATXB6KLW-BK

Does anyone know anything about this case? I am trying to find a decent one for a system for my sister. It is on newegg here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811144076
I am really considering getting this one for her but I thought I would say if anyone had anything to say about this case before say anything to my sister about this one. Thanks! :D

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

I've owned a couple of their X-Dreamer II cases and for the money, it was a pretty good case. I realize the above is not an X-Dreamer II, but aside from aesthetic changes, it looks to be about the same thing.

What I Liked = glossy finish (looks nice in person), temperature LCD, blue neon glow, constructed fairly well, attractive pricing.

What I Didn't Like = PSU is crap (both died on me within a year, one of which charred through a fan wire), LCD temp display only shows Fahrenheit and not the more common Celcius, 80mm fans

I may just wait then and see if I can find a nicer case... Do you have any ideas? I need something pretty good quality for around the same price as this one. $60 or less.

The PSUs included in most cases are crap. Buy a decent PSU with at least 500W.

Other than that, it looks like a decent case to me too. It has more than enough drive bays and it looks cool. I find it interesting that the top looks like the front of a truck :P

I agree with Paul about the F vs. C. In addition to what he said, temperatures displayed in centigrade look better for marketing.

<edit>
On an unrelated note, don't forget to finish running those benchmarks and the battery test while I'm gone. I'm hoping to be able to have the article finished before I leave for Tennesse.

I personally, am not a fan of these flashy cases. If you want a simple, almost professional looking case, how about the Coolermaster Centurion 5?

I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220

I don't mind flashy cases so much as long as the lights aren't overwhelming.

A friend of mine has that exact case, he used it a lot. and well it stood up to the every weekend movie nights and LAN parties, so i would say its a fairly sturdy case, dont think i ever heard him complain about it, looked really cool at night too.

I, personally, like the Coolermaster Centurion 5 but my sister and her boyfriend want a side window. The like to see the workings and some lights. They don't really know anything about computers at all. They just bought this nasty little refurb to get them through until I get done with this one. They spent like $50 on it and it wasn't worth it. They called me over to set it up and I added a 45 GB HD to the 7 GB HD that was in it. Took out the 64 MB RAM and put in 2X 128 MB Kingston. I also added an ethernet card. I really think that they should have used the $50 that they spent on their piece of junk refurb toward this computer. The only thing about that computer that I liked was that it came with a brand new copy of Windows XP Pro SP2.

If they want a side window, you'd better do a he** of a wiring job to show off.
