Your top 3 favorite MMO's?

List your top three MMO's and why you enjoyed them. =)



1) EverQuest - Simply because it was the first MMO I have ever played, and the MMO I have played the longest... almost 5 years straight from the day it was released.

2) Star Wars Galaxies - I absolutely loved this game when it was first released. Nothing was more thrilling than being able to pick and choose which 2 out of 30+ professions you wanted to play.

3) World of Warcraft - Only because it was easy to cap levels, gain loot and see end game content in only a matter of a few short months.

first mmorpg i've ever played. GREAT graphics for way back then.

turned into P2P, didn't play anymore, but i had a mage. I LOVED PERMAFROST. that was a spell lmuch like a meteoshower spell or something, but it was blue balls of ice that fell from the sky. Immense damage, immense mp consumption. LOL go figure. The seal that formed was beautiful, and it was HUGE. Large circle covering almost the whole screen.

If you played, you'd understand why i love that spell. LOL

Asheron's Call - This is my first MMO that i played and made a lot of friends there

Planetside - It a great MMO FPS that i have played on and off since day one

World of Warcraft - need i say more

Mainly play MMORPGs, but have literally hundreds of single player games as well I am definitely addicted to computer gaming! or nm that was another thread

For MMO's, I have tried soo many....

UO - one of my favorites!
EQ - another classic
Eve Online - I still login to switch training in this game after 3 or 4 years
Shadowbane - I really liked this game for a very short while...the ideas/concepts were pretty good...but the actual mechanics and implementation along with the unfortunate exploits ruined the game.

What about FarCry, Quake4, Half Life2, Halo 1 and 2, Prey, Doom3, The Battlefield series, any of the better WW2 shooters, the upcoming Crysis, or any other out of the plethora of quality (and otherwise) First Person Shooters? The genre is practically flooding the market.

No kidding. You also failed to mention all the good Star Wars FPS's like Battlefront II. It's often over-looked, but it's an excellent game

i have half life 2 and the nova games and bhd was the best game ever as far as i can concerned. and i will never play anymore battlefield games again cause i made 2 star gen. and got my account reset cause someone on my team pissed off another team and cause he worked for ea games he reset my account as well as my teammates. hopefully novalogic comes out with something like bhd again cause that game kicks ass.

Really only ever played 2.......EQ was the first i played and enjoyed that for a little while, however got bored with the long, tiresome grind.

Now playing WoW and have played since launch......i like this one much better cause didn't take near as long to level and i like the pvp involved......although bg's get a little boring at times. I miss the world pvp that used to be.
