Default Valve Survey Summary
LINKY...

Pretty interesting. Looks like most people are on an AMD processor that is slower than 2.3Ghz, have less than 1GB of RAM, a 6600 series video card, running AGP, have a 15" screen, and an 80GB HDD with Windows XP SP2. Some of the results are pretty interesting, definately worth a look :thup:

I have an AMD clocked a 2.2 GHz with 1GB ram and a Radeon 9600 Pro. That's where the similarities end.

I have a 21" CRT. So I'm average for the most part.

I have a 2.0Ghz AMD, a 6600 series GPU, and a 15" LCD. I'm also among the norm of Steam's survey sample :)

Do you think they delete peoples older specs from the survey if they upgrade their computers?

Many would have that "average" system when HL2 came out.

But I'm sure that alot of people have upgraded since getting HL2. Are their new setups listed along with their old setups? Or do they update the old with the new?

I have no idea how my 9800XT compares to a 6600 but the rest of my computer fares well.

a 9800XT is probably about as good as a 6600GT. They are in different classes though because the 6600GT has the latest PixelShader 3.0.
