Default Timeshift. Check it out =)

Good ol' Sierra continues to crank out cool stuff. I can only presume that they had recieved great feed back from the "reflex time" of F.E.A.R. and decided to run with it, eventuating with TimeShift! Sierra took the idea (which was only a secondary idea of F.E.A.R. and barely made it into the game), accentuated it, and made it the primary focus of this game. This game allows you to stop, slow, and rewind time (muchly similar to Prince of Persia -- save the ability to save your own life after death). The graphics are also very nice; I'm not sure if it's DX10 or not. Naturally, it's raining for most of the demo, allowing one to watch it slow/stop in amusing manners.

Here are some links to download the demo.

FileFront
File Planet
3d Gamers

Sounds pretty cool, I'm downloading the demo now; but what's the whole point of the game? Pretty graphics?

The story is kind of cliche, actually: (In my own words, and an abridged version) A scientist is experimenting with time shifting technology made a breakthrough. Two suits were made that utilized the time shifting science. The director of the big project takes one of the suits and goes back in time to appoint himself as a dictator and impose absolute power. You are a fellow scientist who takes the other suit to travel back in time to help the rebellion against him.

Guess I left out the point of the story >.< *slaps self*

I tried it a while back... it was barely worth the download IMO. There's absolutely no challenge in this game. It's just simply too easy to kill opponents by slowing down time. Just trigger it and carefully aim for the head. It shows a nice, gory blood gush, though, I'll give it that.

The biggest beef I had with the game was the scripting. They could have honestly showed a better way to use the rewind capability. When I finished the demo, I felt like "That's it?" Still, it was a good twist from other FPS's, but they should have went further with it.

Maybe. It seems that it's a trend to base a game around a certain aspect. Red Faction for the Geo Mod, Soldier of Fortune for the Gore mod, etc etc. I suppose it is a little late in the game to be "toying" with slowing time (being Prince of Persia and F.E.A.R. have done it quite well already). There was definitely not much to the demo, but I indeed am curious how it'll turn out. I think it was indeed good for a demo: short and just a taste. I had a lot of fun with F.E.A.R., so I have a decent expecation from this game. I think it has potential, considering a lot of the crappy games I've seen come out for PC lately.

If you've played COD 4 then this will seem very bland ..... doesn't live up to the hype that came with it
