Steam Platform Problem

I used to have steam on C drive and now i moved it to D drive. However, now, my steam platform won't "open" and i can't play source or any other game that is related to the steam platform. Any suggestions on what to do?

You installed it to your C: drive, which means everything searches for it there. You'll probably have to move it bac k to C: or re-install it to your D: drive

ok thanks, i changed it becasue my c drive only has 2 giges left cause i partitioned it. Is it possible to change the C drive size to a larger size and small another drive?

You can use a program like Partition Magic to add more space.

yeah, you can use partition magic....but if something goes wrong you'd lose everything.
I'd first try to clear space off your C:...maybe move your browser cache and swap file to your D: to clear up room.....thiose two things might make your system run a little faster too.

my steam is still broken. Doesn't work. THats the same problem. The ICON is there on the right task bar but it won't "open" and i sitll can't play...

what did you do? Did you delete and re-install the program on your D: drive?

Hmm.. Justin, i'd suggest reformatting your windows. I wandered around your installation last day and its pretty bloated. Windows takes ages to load and just as long to shut down. Something is seriously wrong. Your start menu is also filled with applications YOU don't even know.

Yeah, I don't think you can just move program files like that. There are always residual files elsewhere that you don't know about and it all gets messed up. The best thing to do would be to completely uninstall Steam, then reinstall it fresh directly to your other drive.
