Starcraft lag problems

I used to play starcraft loads, but then I got a new wireless router, and now I cant play anymore. When I play online, I can join games alright, but when the game starts with more than one other person in the game, it lags.
Ive been told that opening port 6112 (in and out) might help, but I dont know how to do this.

has anyone had this problem aswell? If so does anyone know how to fix it?

Yes, I've used this many times to find out the ports on which games run which ports and has been a godsend so far in my life. It's THE site for port forwarding imo. :)

Oh and BTW, if you open port 6112, you can also host SC games!

thanks. I went through that and opened the right ports and correctly (I hope) but it still doesnt work. I hope this problems fixable.
