STALKER need to find a saved game level

The game saved at the same time I died.Now,when it restarts,I am in "purgetory"...can't move,or throw anything and no buttons will work.Is there somewhere I can look in the game files and maybe delete the save and go back a save? If not,then I have to start over....and im pretty damn far in the game ( im at the point of finding the family gun).

C:\Users\Public\Documents\STALKER-SHOC\savedgames is where the saves are.

I find that ok...but nothing shows as saved.
ok I think I found it. Now how do I change it from there?

Don't have an answer for you but that is why I make multiple saves, just in case I don't like where I went.

It's been awhile but I did that too. I think what saved me was a differant save I had to go back on. Good luck.

All that is is a log from the last time you started up.

In the save folder there should be several files that end in .sav... those are going to be the save files.

If they aren't there though, I don't know what to say.

This S>O>B game is so $#@^&! hard at the end it sucks so bad I kinda like it but I dont.I came close to puttin me fist through the screen more than one time.I'm near the end and shootin everything that has a reason to be dead. I didnt like this game at all in the beginning,whatsoever..I think I must recant that opinion and give this SOB a close 8..(for the AI ) maybe better.I know when to admit when I am wrong,and am man enough to do it.

To be honest you're not that far if you've just entered the Bar. Have you done any of the LAB work yet? or gone to Yantar? If not, you should just install Oblivion Lost mod. I re-played and re-beat STALKER using the OL mod. Its redonka-donk fantastic.

Only problem is at the end, there is no ending (past the wish granter) because they make it Open-Ended, so you can just go back after "beating" Chernobyl NPP, and there are a couple times when you have to search how to beat it (like the Dwarf and the Controller that you have to beat using anomalies instead of weapons, that pissed me off)

Isn't that the mod that opens up all of the locked or undeveloped content? The one where you walk into specific areas and it triggers those ghost mutants to come at you all slow mo?
If so, stay away...FAR AWAY!! Had that, and even after moving through the area the things will follow you, and keep coming...and coming, more and more...through walls and floors, they will find you and make the playing experience hell.

No. But there are "breakouts" which spawns a bunch of mutants. Happens about once every 2-5 days. Not slo mo or anything.

Ah, must be another mod. The one I was referring too adds in a bunch of stuff the devs left out, like the dwarves, blow-outs, and such. It's supposed to be some scene where the effects of the noosphere mess with your mind and cause you to hallucinate and see these ghostly slo-mo mutants, but its messed up bad and once you trigger an area where it happens they will keep coming after you continuously.
