It's fun... I don't like taking it online, but for lans at work, it's great. You can easily kill 8 hours with a single game if you try.

to me it looks like a space version of SupCom... very cool. I have been a fan of a few of these games, the only one that really kept me going for any length of time was StarFlight for the Sega Genesis... loved that game.

Hmm, haven't played supcom... but it is pretty epic. When you have 2-300 ships duking it out in 3 different places at once (like 900 ships total), it's pretty epic. Slow enough to not overwhelm you, but fast enough to keep you engaded. Research takes forever... 6-7 hours wasn't enough for me to get through the whole tech tree, lol. (well, both of the tech trees... I got through the warfare one, but I still had the economy/tech tree and the supply/logistics tree to go through, lol!)

wow cool!
SupCom has the same basic trees for all factions (3 levels and an "experimental" level 4). But you can have over 1000 units marching/driving/flying across the map for domination... and you will likely lose at least half the units in a well fortified base... of course get a few experimentals in there and they typically don't stand a chance..
