Default S.T.A.L.K.E.R SHADOW Of CHERNOBYL PC

I should be able to run this game on my system according to all information I have found.I have a Nvidia 6200A GPU.
When I DL the game, there is a specific window that pops up telling me I have the required attributes to run the game as well.So I finish loading the game, run it,and get to the part where you listen/talk to the trader. Then you start the first mission buy walking up the staiway and go thru the small town to meet a guy.etc etc. After dealing with the guy,you have a ways to go before the next meet.If I WALK to the next point,I have no problems....If I RUN to the next point, after a few seconds of running and looking, the screen freezes and there is a brief 2 or 3 seconds of black screen...then it's ok again and I can proceed.I think it's something to do with frame rate adjustment and have no clue how to deal with it.Any ideas?

Sounds to me like your 6200 isn't able to keep up with the game. That is a very low-end video card and is far from ideal for playing advanced 3D games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
How much system memory do you have? That video card likely uses some of your system memory as video RAM, so you could be running out of system memory and the game has to use virtual memory on your hard drive which is slowing everything down. If the game runs then it probably isn't a driver issue, sounds more like a performance issue than anything else. You could try turning down some detail levels or running the game at a lower resolution (maybe 800x600).

I meant system memory, as in the amount of DDR or DDR2 RAM you have installed (not hard drive space).

Well, there's a chance that your 6200 video card uses what is called TurboCache; wjch essentially allocates a portion of your system memory that the video card has exclusive access to. This is all well and grand if you've got lots of system memory to spare, but if you're running only like 512MB (or even 1GB), the amount of memory left over after the video card is done with it is pretty minimal and can cause problems. Do you know which particular GeForce 6200 video card you have?

Just because the number is higher doesn't mean the card is better:

Video Card Comparison - GPUReview.com

I don't think that card can keep upl, even if set to the lowest possible settings :\

Indeed. I think the 5700 was actually a mid-range to high-end card back in the day...
