PS3 @ newegg

hey guys, i know this is a computer forum, but for those interested in the PS3, here it is for $600, the 60gb version, with resistance fall of man, CoD3, and an extra controller. So basically, 160-180 bucks off.

its $ 769 . and that doesn't really seem very good. ah well im not much of a ps3 fan. well yet maybe something good will come and woo me. lol.

Yeah, I see it as $599 also. I wonder if Darkfry is in Canada?

I could build a whole new computer system for $600, or do some very nice upgrades.

It's $769 because it "must be purchased with combo special," you can't purchased just the system itself. Scroll down to look at the combo, and the accompanying $769.96 pricetag. If you try to order just the system, you get the following message:

A problem occurred during adding shopping cart

Sorry,this gift item is part of a promotional special and cannot be manually added to your cart. If you'd like to receive the gift item, please add all required products to your shopping cart

and ya got to add that 11.33 in shipping just for the system and then the shipping for everything else, so its probably more like 780-790

You got to hand it to them, it's a good way to get someone thinking "It's worth buying the extras in the combo to get that price."
Kinda like shopping at the wharehouse shopping centers, buy 1000 lbs of peanut butter so it only costs like $.05/oz... but the bill is still $800 for just peanut butter. (can't afford jelly now)
