Default Oblivion Mods

Ok well I'm downloading a new Glass Armor Texture which is silver n gold but i dont know how to make it work... It's not an .esp file which makes it complicated for me. This is the link to the mod The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Source - The Source for Oblivion! This is a ".rar" file but the installation says to extract this into your oblivion/data folder which i did but there isn't an .esp file to make this work... Anyone know how to make this mod work?

If you extract the .rar using WinRar, there is a .esp file within the .rar allong with some other files. Just do a google search for WinRar

.rar is like .zip but a different compression type... I use WinRAR for all my compression needs... and it will decompress the .rar file into your .esp file like mentioned above.

I think he realizes that it's a rar file and I think he extracted it... I'm not sure... Did you get to extract it?

I am hoping he didn't mistake "extract to this folder" for "save to this folder"

I could be wrong though... WinRAR will work for extraction

Looks kind of geekie to me, but, yea the esp is in the rar file!! You just need to find a demo or buy a copy of winrar and it will show up, no probs.

Haha. Go to WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files and download WinRAR. It's a free archiving program like Winzip. Open up the file and then open up your oblivion mods folder. Simply drag and drop the file into the folder and then activate the mod using oblivions mod manager.

Tada! Your new blinged out armor.... I'm not a fan of the shiny stuff by the way. :D
