Oblivion!!

Right now im level 25 n im doin real good but i need some help... My magicka doesn't regenerate anymore n i think i caught a disease "strickens magicka" from a zombie n now i cant even pray at the shrine to get my mana regenerated... The altar would say "repent your crimes wicked one!" Does anyone know how i can cure this disease and also how can i cure myself at the chapels if each altar makes fun of me :/?

They make fun of you because you've done some wrong doings. You need to pay off your fines or get arrested for what ever you did, then do a few quest and try again with the shrines.

Yeah, I got bit by Vampires in some random cave and now I have to find three giant Soul Gems (which are near impossible) to get this witch to heal me or else I slowly die when outside during the day. I haven't played the game since

I've already got the cure what u need to do is buy the grand soul gems at all the different mage guilds. Its the easiest way... Well the thing is i dont have a bounty on my name at all... i took off allt he stolen things and put it in my storage chest so that when i went to the chapel nothing robbed would be on me but that still didnt work.... Im lvl 26 n i havent even closed the first oblivion gate yet... lol i finished all the thieves guild quests and then some quests within each city... Its cool though :) So does anyone know otherwise how to cure my stunted magicka???

to cure you stunted magika go to a shop that sells potions (one of the mage guilds will do) and buy a Potion of cure disease....problem solved ^_^.

also when you get the "repent for your crimes wicked one!" message it means that you've either:

1. got a bounty to which you need to go to jail or pay off

2. killed someone innocent like a townsfolk to which you need to do a few quests within a guild.

3. have more INFAMY than FAMOUS level, to check this go into your stats and tab all the way right, scroll down the page and it'll show your points of infamy and Fame, if your infamy is higher you need to do good thing to boost your fame (ie quests/kill bandits in ruins or help a townsfolk to say retrieve an amulet or something).

VAMPIRSM CURES:

when your struck with polyphoric Hemophillia (vampires disease) you have 3 Days before you turn into a vampire to cure yourself, the quickest way is to go get yourself a potion of cure disease or learn the spell (one of the chapels priests will sell it to you) so cast it or use a potion on yourself to recover.

IF 3 days is up and you HAVEN'T cured it, just don't go to sleep, use a potion of cure disease and all will be well. if you do turn into a vampire i'm afriad you'll have to get 5 empty grand soul gems and do the quest to cure vampirism.

the quest involves collecting:

Blood of an Argonian (might be different depending on what race you are as i've never tried with a different race).

Ashes of a very powerful vampire (hes in a cave and is called hillidir or something (hes easy to kill)

6 garlic

5 nightshade

2 bloodgrass

and your all set.

I actually liked bieng a vampire as it raises your abbilities constantly, after 10 days of being a vampire your stats will be increased by the maximum level the vampire ability allows (which is very high). i've yet to test sun damage with armour that resists fire damage, so i wonder if i have a full set of armour that resists fire damage if the sun damage won't effect me.

ULTIMATE ARMOUR CAN BE SELF MADE ^_^

if you'd like to get the best armour possible (and i mean ANY armour that has 4-5 pieces) i suggest you read on.

To get this armour of invicibilty (almost) you must be able to enchant your own weapons and armour (gain entrance to the arcane uni) to do this start your game by screwing the main story and concertrating on the mages guild, once you have access to the uni (or you are the arch mage). you'll have access to an Alter of enhanting. head over to the mages guild in cheydinhal (however its spelt) and go to the mage guild hall there, buy as many Grand sould gems as you can (with a soul level of grand) and head back to the Uni to the alter.

For this you'll need about 1300 gold per armour piece and one grand soul gem.

Start off by adding your armour piece, you'll need:

Helm
Cuirass
Greaves
Boots
Shield (or Guantlets)

next add your grand soul gem and add CHAMELEON abbility to your armour. (it'll say on your stats Chameleon 20% on self) Name the armour and create it.

do the same with all your other armour (you'll be left with a shiled that doesn't need enchanting but can be given say strength as i have it) and you'll have a full set of armour each having Chameleon 20% on self.

Since oblivion puts this onto a stack you'll have chameleon 100% on self which make you completely invisible. my armour is like so:

Legion Helm - Chameleon 20% on self
Legion Cuirass - Chameleon 20% on self
Legion Greaves - Chameleon 20% on self
Legion Boots - Chameleon 20% on self
Legion Guantlets - Chameleon 20% on self
Legion Shield - Strength + 10 on self

now you can go around killing anyone and anything without ever taking damage (as they can't see you so won't fight back) so go into sneak mode and hit enemies to do MASSES of damge as you'll get the sneak attack bonus.

this is also good news as you can rob everyone blind and most the time wont detect you, i've yet to test out beating up a guard and seeing if i get a bounty but i'm assuming you can't as they wouldn't be able to tell who it was.

Thanks a lot man! I dont have a bounty but i did kill someone from the mages guild by accident because it was part of a thieves guild quest... Now i have to get 20 daedra hearts and 20 vampire dust... I have 42 deadra hearts... I just closed the first oblivion gate at lvl 26 lmao... I enjoy going to other places first before i do the main quest. And another thing is that my fame is only 8 where as my infamy is 30... I tried Potion of cure disease... That didn't regenerate my magicka i dont think so... ill try it again n ill hit u up.. I dont need all that chameleon armor cuz i already have 100 sneak and a 30% chameleon ring... I would be compltely invisible if i had all that chameleon stuff... nice!

indeed, and it depends what disease you have, stunted magika can be obtained from being the sign of the atronach. in which it'll give you 150 magicka and alow you to absorb magicka 50pts on self but have stunted magicka.

but if its a disease i'm sure it'll tell you what diseas it is if you go to the MAGIC tab and scroll accros to active spells. it'll tell you any effects you have on you.

for example my tab says:

Water breathing (Ability Argonian)

Resist Disease 75% (Ability Argonian)

Resist Poison 100% (ability Argonian)

Magicka +50 (Mage Star sign)

Strength +13 (Grey prince training (3) Black Band (10))

Chameleon 100% ( vanishing armor (20) vanishing helm (20) vanishing greaves (20) vanishing boots (20) Vanishing guantlets (20))

Absorb Magicka 20 (Absorbtion Amulet)

Resist frost 15% (Frost Flame Ring)

Resist Fire 15% (frost Flame Ring)

Resist normal Weapon 20 (Ethereal Shield)

yours might have something like:

Stunted magicka (Star sign Atronach)

or

Stunted Magicka (Name of disease)

if you run into any problems feel free to post them here as i'm a guru at this game :P (well maybe not but i like to think i am).

to regain some magicka, buy some potion of sorcery to get magicka back if your stunted, this will NOT however cure your disease (if you have one).

lol bro im level 42 now since the last post i put down... i have put in over 90 hours of gameplay n im addicted... I just wish i could have picked conjuration over my restoration or block major skill... I have 100 in my skills except for security block and restoration... these are my major skills -
Blade - 103
Marksman - 100
Block - 91
Security - 69
Sneak - 100
Restoration- 72
Light armor- 100

My Main Stats like hp magicka n fatigue are -

Dark elf Lvl - 42
Thief

HP - 446
Magicka - 250
Fatigue - 376

I have 1 question though, i have a ring thats 50% resist to magic w/ 35% reflect spell... Does magic mean all types like fire, frost, lightning, etc?

Unless it specifically states what the ring can reflect, I am pretty sure that your ring reflects all schools of magicka.
