Default New 8800 drivers, wait what?

I've been playing Oblivion ever since I got in my 8800, and it's been great. Somehow the game didn't have that touch I've seen in screenies and all the reviews, but I chalked it up to being a year old and having seen the previews to Bioshock and Crysis.

However, after installing the new beta drives for Bioshock from nVidia, I go back into Oblivion..and, everything's alive! The water looks so smooth, and has translucent ripples. I never noticed the shadow filtering, but now it seems to jump right out. The textures just look..more detailed, hair looks like hair and not like Morrowind "hair". Theres even new sound effects now. When I go into the menu, I hear little effects for scrolling, opening submenues, equipping items. People actually speak their lines instead of just mouthing it, doors squeak open and close, when the characters run I can hear the armor rustling and jingling. I thought Oblivion before was how it was supposed to be, but this is just so much more vibrant.
And all I did was just install this beta driver, damn. Nothing else. I guess the G80 really does have some issues

Vista Home Premium 32-bit

Previous: 158.xx
New: 163.44 Beta

Yes, the beta is for both XP and Vista, the current WHQL certified one is 162.22. I installed the Beta ones to run the Bioshock demo, and with the humongous performance increase in Oblivion I'm glad I did. I was having issues with Guild Wars and STALKER as well, I'll see how they work now tonight.

Cool deal bro, thanks for that. I will have to download those badboys. I wasn't having any problems with any of my games, but I'll have to see if I get any performance improvements.
