Default Need help organizing benefit LAN party

Hey guys,
My roomate, two of our friends, and I are organizing a LAN party to benefit an organization to help out with education and living conditions for teens in Uganda. We're calling the event, "Noobs for Uganda"

This will take place at my college, Western New England College, (WNEC) in west springfield MA

We need help coming up with a list of people to donate/support our venture.

So far we have:
Newegg
Monster
Bawls
Amp/Mt. Dew
the local Circuit City
Pizza hut
Dominos
Wings, (an incredible local chain)

Also, Capper, i'd like to see HL as a sponsor if possible.

We've been working on a list of games and activities to make a really up-beat event the whole time. We plan on it starting on a friday afternoon, and ending sunday afternoon.

We plan on doing it in our college's auditorium, which is a huge, flat room with a stage in the front.

The games we plan on having:
Guitar Hero World Tour
CS:S
CoD4
CoD: world at war
World of Warcraft

We were thinking a $20 admission price to play, and $5 to enter each event, and have at least 1 event for each game.
Team/band discounts of $15 for the whole team.

What do you guys think?

We're all CS or IT majors, and we've got one of the CS professors to help us get the network going and such.

Let me know what you guys think.

Invisible Children by any chance?

Sounds like an amazing idea man. I'm completely for the Darfur cause. You also seem to have a hell of a list of supporters.

This will be a bumping LAN party.

We're looking to do this at no initial cost to us, so we're looking for all the support we can get

Awesome! We just had our Walk for my high school. 191 people showed up, it was amazing.

How many people are you expecting to attend the party?

We're not sure yet, as it won't happen until the early spring likely.
We've got about 50 friends and kids in our classes that are already set to go.

Jake, of course we'll be a sponsor......remind me a week or two in advance and I'll see what we have to contribute. Hit me up via PM, and I'll hook you up with sponsors as well.

Capper, thank you so much, you guys will definitely be at the top of the list.

I go to Western New England College, in Springfield Massachusetts. If anyone can make it, i'll make a point to keep you all comfy.

Thanks everyone, i'll talk to the guys that are expecting to come and ask if there are any other games they want. I want as many as we can get without having 50 games and two people playing each.

Thanks guys.
